School Day by Michelle

We have just finished our English UT. Hurray!! This week, we have done a lot of work and activities. For example, the Nov-Dec birthday party, UT, Miss Ho birthday, etc. Also, we have discovered something new that about our class.

First, let’s talk about the singing contest. We are still thinking about the dance of the Christmas songs. It is really a hard job as after we think of some step, we afraid that they are so silly and no one will do that; moreover, we afraid that we don’t have enough time to practice for the contest. However, I really appreciate the whole class for being very unity on dancing “We are all in this together”. Although it dance danced by us wasn’t so good, it is so great that we can all cooperate well. It seems that 3A are all in this together!

Next, let me talk about the new discovery about 3A. We found our new hobbies, playing basketball. Since girls were having a basketball PE lesson and we are interested about that, in 3A, most of the boys and girls are interested in it now. This is another sport that like by 3A except for the dodge ball.

Finally, I want to encourage 3A. We have finished our English UT, but the on next week, there are more challenges waiting for us. For the girl, good luck in the choral speaking competition. For the whole class, good luck in the Chinese and China Studies UT, also for the Christmas singing contest. After finish all these things, we can have our happy holiday.

The second B-day party

On the 8th of December, our class has done another birthday for the one who were birthday in November and December. Sharon, Michelle and I went early in the morning to take the birthday cake. Then after lunch, we went to find Mr. Cheng to get the snacks and prepare for the party. Later on, when all our classmates had come back, the party started! Everyone in class enjoy the food. Although only the one who was birth in the two months can have the cake, they still share the cake to their friends. Except having snacks, we also play games. It was really exciting to play games with our classmates and everyone enjoy it!

I think it was very good to have such activity with our classmates as we can know more with each others by having those activities. It was really hard for preparing for the party as we have to found a proper cake, buy the food, think about the games, drawing the birthday cards…etc. Although we also have lots of homework and tests in that time, it was really busy for us, but we still enjoy it as we can make our class become happier and have more happy memories. It is really happy to being with 3A.

The Christmas tree in 3A classroom by Ernest Wong

Christmas is coming, every people want to celebrate in this happy day, our class made a Christmas tree in our classroom, but there have a little problem with the Christmas tree. We keep the lights on the tree on when we were having the lesson, actually I think this is a kind of waste of electricity, the lights shining all the time and truly the lights made me watched for it for few times.

I suggest that we should keep thoughts lights off when we are having a lesson because it will make us not focus at the teacher. The Christmas tree is a decoration for the Christmas. We may turn it on when we are having lunch. We may put the present under the Christmas tree, it seems that it will be funny. We can open the present in front of the tree and take photos there.

I know that the girls decorated the Christmas tree for a long time, thank you for giving us a beautiful tree for Christmas celebration. I hope that in the party there will have some funny games for us to play with, after all it hope that day will come soon.

Christmas is coming! By Elizabeth Chan

            Christmas is coming!
Everybody is preparing that thing! Do you know what “that thing” means? “That thing” means the SHOE-BOX. This is not a simple shoe-box. In the shoe-box, we can put the gift in it. And the gift will send to children in mainland China and other Asian countries ravaged by natural disasters or war. These shoe-boxes have been delivered by OCC (Operation Christmas Child). It brings joy and hope to underprivileged children around the world through a gift-filled shoe-box and a booklet telling the Good News of God’s love for mankind.
I think this is a very good charity because some of the children around the world did not have any special things at Christmas. Every time I think of them, I will feel sad and I didn’t know how to help them. But now there is OCC and I can give the shoe-box to them. I hope these shoe-boxes can make them feel love and find hope in life again.
Other than preparing the shoe-box, everyone is also preparing about the Christmas celebration such as what to eat, what to play and how to celebrate.
Mr. Cheng has decided to play a Christmas song every day in the reading period.
I want to ask that can we watch a Christmas movie next week in the English lesson (because I think that after the English UT, we will have much time).

Finally, I think that this Christmas is the most special!!!

Reflection of the English Lesson by Kenneth

In the recent English Lesson, Mr. Cheng had introduced us a charity called the Operation of the Christmas Child which was first started at 1993. It aim is to brings out joy and hope to the underprivileged children around the world. As to gave out joy and hope, they have got out the idea of making a gift-filled shoe box which was decided by yourself. Inside the shoe box, it can be filled up with toys, clothes, accessory, stationary or books and a booklet which wants to tell the children there that God love everyone of them. It was now send over 77 millions of shoe boxes to 130 countries. As the purpose of the charity was so meaningful, Mr. Cheng had asked us to make two shoe boxes in each group which maybe one for boys and one for girls and gave the shoe boxes out to the charity.
My English group USA---- (Jack, Oscar, and Winson) had gone out to buy the present. It was quite a hard job as buying present for the people you are not familiar so not easy at all. Hope the other classmate can choose the suitable thing to the underprivileged children

Merry Christmas by Rachel Chan (2)

Although there are still 23 days left before the Christmas, me, Rachel still want to say a “Merry Christmas” to all 3A members first.
As I have said, the Christmas is coming very soon, some of our classmates worked very hard on decorating our 3A classroom in these few days.
Since the 3A classroom is the biggest classroom in LTPSS, it has much more places where give more opportunities for us to show our intelligence on designing and creating. In the past few days, many classmates in our class brought in their own decoration materials such as the Christmas tree and the light. Then they stayed after school and helped to decorate the room.
We worked together, and now we have nearly finished the decoration. Looking back to our classroom, especially the Christmas tree, they are really beautiful and gorgeous for me. The lights on the tree even make it to be more attractive. On the other side, the decorations of the rest of the classroom also look very smart. I can imagine how hard our classmates have paid on giving these things to 3A. I think they want to create the best memory for us.
I also know that the twentieth of December will be our Christmas celebration day again. I hope that we will have a great time at that moment J

The visit of the elderly by Jason Pang

Last Thursday was a special school day. We had the normal lessons in the morning and also after the lunchtime. Then we started our special life education lesson.

All form 3 student of Law Ting Pong Secondary School had to join the activity of the visit of elderly. We all need to help for the visit of elderly. We had prepared for this activity for a few weeks. We decided games for cheering the elderly up and we also prepared some little gifts for the elderly.

At that day, we were nervous for the visit. When the bell rang, we went down to the hall quickly. We sat in our groups and waited for the visit of elderly. Few minutes later, the door was opened and 30-40 elderly went in to the hall. The activity began.

First, student in other classes prepared some singing show for the elderly. As the songs they chose were some old songs, most elderly knew the song and tried to sing together with the students. Then, another class of students prepared a drama which was talking about some careless elderly. They received some calls that called by some crime. They usually said lies and said that the elderly’s families had some serious disease suddenly and needed a large amount of money for the fare of surgical operation. The careless elderly didn’t check whether the news was true or not and they just sent money to the bank account which was the crime’ account. Students prepared this drama to remind the elderly to be careful of phone criminal. It was meaningful.

Finally, it was our turn. My group decided to play a simple game with the elderly. The elderly just needed to guess what students were acting. It might be an animal or a tool. If the elderly guessed the answer rightly, they could get a present. Finally, all the elderly in your group got a present. They were satisfied.

I felt happy because it was a meaningful activity. We gave joy to the elderly and they were satisfied by our preparation. It’s a happy thing to share happiness with elderly. The elderly deserved joy as they worked hard for half of their whole life. They created lots of things for us in the previous day. We have such a day now because of their effort. I think this activity was also a way to thanks to them.

The reflection of English only day by Matthew

Two weeks ago, we started a new event that is English only day. English only day hold in every Wednesday.
In English only day, we can speak english only anywhere, anytime and anypeople. In our class, there is some English police to jot down the people who talk in Cantonese. And then, Mr. Cheng would give some penalty on those people. Also, there is a SPY which is very mysterious and appointed by Mr. Cheng. The job of the spy is to check the people who talk in Chinese jotted by the English police. Everyone were interested in the identity of the spy, but the spy can't tell out his/her identitiy, so we can't know.

On the first day of the English only day, we spoke English at first even we played basketball. But after awhile, we started to spoke Cantonese. So, many people jotted by the English police. Mr. Cheng punished them to wrote a composition. On the second day of the English only day, less people were jotted down.

I think the English only day can really help us to improve our English oral skills, but we need to behave ourselves to speak english proactively.
