2nd to last day! by CTC

Hmm...I don't know how to start this entry. In fact, I'm feeling a bit sick right now so I'll keep it short.

Today, after talking with Elizabeth, I finally finished speaking to each student in the class individually. It's actually been really nice to speak to each person individually as I have found that you're all so different when talking to me seriously. Even the most immature students normally can talk to me seriously about important issues regarding their future. As well as giving you a chance to practice your English, it has also been a great opportunity for me to know more about you.

Today was also the last assembly of the year! I wasn't there for most of it as I was tidying up things after being so busy during the lunch-time doing the last radio show for this year. Wow...really so many lasts! And to add to that, tomorrow will be the last English-only Day for this year with no punishments. Hope everyone can enjoy it and celebrate our success for this year together!

PS I will take more photos tomorrow to post on the blog!

Last teaching-week by CTC

2nd last day of May, 3rd last day before the exams start and the last teaching-week of this school term. How time has flown by this year. It really only seemed like yesterday that we were in the hall (earlier than everyone else) on the first day of term deciding our monitors, monitress etc. In fact, all groups have successfully completed the blog duties for the year, so I will do the remaining ones for this week.

Something happy to share for today was the principal and Mr. Harniess' comments on the comic strips that each group did for The Spider's Web review. They were really really impressed by the comic strips (so was I too). Some of them are really amazing, and I can't imagine how much time you spent on drawing them. I look forward to seeing the final movie trailers on Wednesday too!

Well, with only a few days left before the exams begin properly, I must take this chance to remind everyone that this is the time to get serious and forget about anything else but studying! It's now or never!

Lastly, a happy birthday to our birthday boy Christopher! Hope you have the best birthday ever (but don't forget to study!!).

Hello! Sunny sky,nice to see you again after a couple of rainny days =] You are hugging your kids with energy and warm:) So lovely!

Today, we mainly do our revision in order to prepare of the Final Exam. During the Maths lesson, Miss Yeung was rush to go through the remaining sections with us since she will not be free to have our lesson. Geometrical probability and Experimental probability @0@ Since we definitely not have enough time to do as many practice during class, so we have to do more at home ourselves. Practice makes perfect! ^^

Moreover, we had a birthday party for the person who born in March, April and May. Happy Birthday! As Mr.Cheng mentioned before, Miss Chan will buy us drinks... But today, Mr.Cheng used his money and said that Miss Chan will pay him back later. THANK YOU DADDYxd  Then,we played a game called "Memorise". Each big group sent two people with good memory to play it. The method of this game is one person say a sentence, and then the next one need to repeat the previous sentence and add one more with an action doing what the last person said. Sounded funny!! The whole class will play in the last party, that is after exam. YEAH! XD

We only had half and hour for the party because we need to go down to the hall for a meeting. It is a briefing session about the Summer Holiday English Programmes. I think the experience will be remarkable, useful, valuable and wonderful! =]

Time really flies.Six more days before the Final Exam... Let's make the best use of these six days to prepare and concentrate on the exam. Remember the quote from DADDY?xd  " Life is full of sacrifice, if you make them now, you will earn them back later." That's mean the more effort you pay, the more colourful it will be. Every penny you earn is the fruit of your hard work. ADD OIL! GOOD LUCK AND TRY OUR BEST:)

China studies horror game and dancing (for girls) by Dawn Lau

So why do I call China studies as a horror game?It is very easy to tell,we need to seperate into four groups and I am in the fourth group.My teacher set a limit as 30 marks,when the bell rings the lost group will need to copy the whole notes 2 times!(there are 10 pages!!!!)Our group nearly can't full fill!At that time,all of us looked very scared and nervous,a lot of us shouted and breathing heavily......but at last,no one need to copy the whole note.Although this horror game make everyone scared but however it help us to reviewv the whole China Study notes.
Next is the dancing exam for the girls.Every girls need to seperate into few groups and find a song to dance.I choose Black Eye Peas The Time (Dirty Bit) and dance,but I dance badly........(=_=")
Other like Lady Gaga Just Dance and even the newest song, Judas.After finishing,the girls have all relaxed.
Exams are coming and it quite been busy this week,spider's web comic(for me) revision.......I should plan the time a bit more better........

Today is Wednesday, many people forgot that we did not have English Only Day today. It is a good news that we will not have English Only Day anymore I am very happy that we can spoke Chinese but we had two English lessons so we needed to speak English for two lessons.

In today’s English lessons, we got ten marks. We were very quiet. We were doing the listening practice. I do not know why we need to sit in our group. It is quite boring but it is useful for us because the exam is coming soon. We only have one week left. Then we will have the exam.

On Thursday, we will have a China studies test. I think it will be very exciting because if answer any wrong answer, the punish will be added.

The exam is coning soon. We should work hard. I hope 3A can get a good result.

English quiz...by Konnor

I think after today's English lesson, I can know that most of the classmate don't always look at the
schedule of May that Mr Cheng gave us from the start of May, the schedule showed us that we would have a quiz today but seems there were nobody knew what we were doing today, most of the classmate just knew by Mr Cheng telling us today, of course me too...
Mr Cheng said that he didn't remind us because he didn't want us to do the quiz with revision, he wanted us to do the quiz with testing us how many did we get, did we remember in the lesson before, so he just told us today. Then after he told us, we all felt very suprised, we took out our classwork book to do our quick revision immediately, we just had around five to ten minutes to do our revision because the first lesson was the English lesson, so we couldn't really remember many things.
However, the quiz was not just only about the idioms, Mr Cheng wanted to quiz our reading and the story plot. The passage was about "The Spider's Web", Mr Cheng has changed the whole story and add some idioms into it to test us. After I finished reading the passage, I felt the passage was interesting, it was different by comparing our work yesterday, I thougt it was more interesting than our's.
During the quiz I thought I'd used too many time on reading the the whole passage because I spent a lot of time on thinking the the passage really about but at last I still couldn't really knew what happened in the end and some parts at the first, so I couldn't answer the questions very clear.
After the quiz, Mr Cheng has checked the answers with us and I found that, I seems had made a lot of mistakes....

Yesterday was raining cats and dogs! The red rainstorm warning signal had been hosted two times.  I was dreaming that we don't need to go to school today, but of course, my dream didn't come true! :p

Today, nothing quite special except the English and Science lesson. During the English lesson, we finally came to the last part of The Spider's Web! YEAH!xp India showed their photo story to us and that was really funny. How come Obamas will appear in the story? xd   Moreover, there was a visitor came into our class and observe the lesson. We used IPAD  to rewrite the story! During the process, we couldn't speak except reminding each other,or otherwise, 10 pointed will be DEDUCTED!! The class was so quiet that everyone were really concentrating and working hard,VERY GOOD!!  Time flies, the lesson ended. GOOD BYE AND THANK YOU MR CHENG!! GOOD BYE AND THANK YOU THE SPIDER'S WEB!! WAKAKA!! XD


Lunch time... still, the boys were playing around... The classroom were so quiet!!

In the Science lesson, everyone summited their Non-written Assessment which to be due today. Mr. Dik showed the best assessment so far and it was likely from Yoyo! SUPER COOLING? CRYSTALISATION? Sounded really funny!! Hahaha! Furthermore, He gave us some exercise for the Final Exam Revision. Hmm... it is really time to work! 3A, add oil :)

P.S. Remember the China Studies Revision Quiz? BE REALLY WELL PREPARED!!  Otherwise, Miss Chow will punish us to copy the scope!! If you don't want to be punished, WORK HARD!!   Umm.. quite scared! Moreover, the PE Dance Performance, try your best to practise=]

Maybe we should start counting down for the Final Exam? 3A VS Final Exam, Who will win? =p

English-only Week 2 by CTC

Time for the English-only Week reflection again…

Compared with last time, I thought this week was a much bigger challenge because the week was a normal whole week compared with the one in the learning symposium.

But it turned out to be a really enjoyable week, perhaps even one of the most fun weeks in the whole year. Maybe it was because we were all doing something together as a class? Or maybe because we treated it as a big game? But it really was such a memorable week!

From learning about the differences between American and British English, to the teasing and non-stop laughter in the reading periods, from coming in the classroom asking for help for the radio show and being surrounded by many people to the crazy photos taken during the week, from the drinks to celebrate the half-way point of EoW to the voting of the Chinglish King and Queen. The thing that was most important was the happiness filled the class.  As I keep telling you, it takes only one person to spoil it all for the rest of the class. But, I finally felt that the class was united! We really were in this together!

Perhaps you will never understand the extent of your achievements this week. Even though there was as expected a lot of Chinglish, but honestly, I doubt whether any other class in the whole school could have achieved what we did this week. Some struggle to even speak English for a lesson, never mind a day or a week.

So, I must say a big well-done and also thank you to all of 3A! You really are the best class ever!  *** You are the STARS of our school *** I’m so going to miss teaching you guys! Let’s enjoy the remaining time of this term and create even more memories to savour for the future!

The Last Day of English Only Day

Today is the last day of English Only Day and it is the most interesting day in this week .

English only week day 4 by Scotland Sharon

        English only week day 4. Most of us have already get used to speak English. Today is also the happiest day of this week, first, I want to talk about the China Studies lesson, we have a very exciting lesson, we need to earn 30 marks or we will be punished. The rules of this competition is you earn 2 marks for any correct answer and deduct 2 marks for wrong answer, time limit is the whole lesson, if your group didn’t got 30 marks before bell ring you need to copy P.1-6 of the notes for 3 times. We often can see the whole class is that united, we help each other to answer, no matter it is for our own or for the whole class, that is happy that the whole class can be that united.

        Next, is the PE lesson, the girls are having their dancing lesson, and we need to design a 2 minutes dance, and everyone are working so hard for their own group except our group because our group have no idea with the dance.

        Third, in the reading period, Toby and Terence are shouting with each other, Terence say ‘ Su-Suki’ to Toby and Toby give Terence to see the words that create by himself, and the most funniest is Mr. Cheng’s reaction, we never see him laugh like this, he laugh with a very red face and cover his face, he totally lost it, we all think that is very funny, and the whole class keep on laughing without stopping.

         Last, in the LED lesson, we look at the difference between American English and British English, I think Hong Kong is a place that include different culture, because I found that we all are using half American English and half British English.

EoW day 3:) by Karen

English only Week day 3! Origunally it is also our English only Day, Mr Cheng said it will be more difficult then the past because our CCA ended already, and Mr. Chenng will use our class period as his English lesson...

English lesson we had the news sharing and The Spider's Web again. We just got 4 marks in the activity- -The next English lesson is all about The Spider's Web( I don't know why the news sharing always used the whole lesson). I goe my own book today, but I left the one borrow from school at home...

Many people were not at class after Maths lesson, so Mr. Dik first told us about the final exam, and then allow us to take photos during the class. We took a lot of photos and chat for the whole lesson:)

Putonghua lesson was used to act the drama. Matthew's group drama was very funny, we all laughed when they act. After we all presented, Ms. Chiu told us our mark. I remember Manchun's group got the highest mark.

Class period! Mr. Chenug promised us if we all pass today he'll buy us drinks :D We did! We all passed, we got a bottle of drink :D But we have to speck English till 4:00p.m....

Tomorrow is the fourth day of English only week. Add oil, and fight for merit!!!

While the class enjoying to saying Cantonese in the Chinese lesson, the fire bell suddenly rang. We knew that was a fire escape training, so we just ‘escape’ slowing and go down to the basketball court. It was a quite annoying training for us as it was nearly meaningless! We won’t still stay in the basketball court and wait the fire to come and kill us! But still, school rules, we have to obey and do what they said. After the lunch bell rang, all the students in the court just suddenly disappear and all gone to the tuck shop. We even could walk pass though.

During in the lunch time, some of the schoolmates and I went to interview to the principal for the project of the ‘student voice’. At the same time, Mr. Alan and some other students were having the school broadcast and we also joining them while we were waiting for the principal in the office. It was so much fun!

We got a Putonghua listening UT in the class period and after that, Sharon, Yoyo and I went to the computer room the complete the homework. We made a photo story and record voice. OMG, it was really funny for hearing our voice back. We keep laughing! Also, we bullied Mr. Alan in CHINESE!!(wakakakakakakakakakakakakakakaka~)

  

Nothing special for the second day of the EoW, everyone seems to be enjoying the EoW as we were just communication just like we were using Cantonese. Actually I don’t really mind that we use English to communication for the rest of the term (he he, don’t tell others that I said that ;).

P.S. Kenneth made his hand all red during the competition in the English lesson!   

It's another English week this time.

Today is the first day of 2nd English only week. Everyone seems so obedient and stays in English mode. They didn't try to destroy the rules. It contained a very good atmosphere to have English language only. In the Chinese lesson, it helped a lot for the whole class. Gave us a little break to enter into the English mode. We tried to warm up in Chinese lesson, it's kind of disturbing the lesson, but it helps a lot. It made us go through the whole day. At the L.S lesson, we had a presentation and we finish it at the very last time, we nearly broke down because our group doesn't have the newest edition. We changed it and then we could prepare in the recess. After that, we were doing the presentation fluently. We got a okay mark hopefully, we can do it better because we missed the conclusion part. In English lesson, we went through the chapter 23-24, it was quite exciting , I paid a lot attention on that. I found a lot of fun in this book. It's probably my 2nd book in my career life. It's very good, I can learn a lot of things from this book. In lunch time, I forgot to eat my lunch because I played the card games about Chinese History. It's a very exciting game. You need to pretend(I mean acting). Even after school, we were still playing, guess what time did we finish, I think the answer will surprise you a lot.

Basket Ball Match-India by Ernest

Today is a day for tricking Samuel Yip, in the morning Oscar stuck the gorilla doll on the fan an turned on the fan, we all laughed ad took picture with the DC, and Miss Yeung came in and asked Oscar to take it down. After two lessons it’s time to have a recess, that’s special one, tricking west yip is a good activity to do in the recess. The bell rang, it’s time for another two lessons the lessons for me is boring but I still listened to them. Fortunately lunch time started when we were all in a boring mood. And then we have to face the truth of losing to 2E in the interclass basketball competition, we are a little bit upset, but we become happy again because Terrence cheer us up again. We enjoy reading the spider’s web in this week because the story started to be exciting, hope the end will be a good ending. After all, Mr. Cheng let us to borrow the spider’s web to home for reading it, that’s really good news.

Although we have lost for the inter-class basketball competition, we all know that there are many other things that we need to win as a match. It’s near the end of the F.3 life, it’s time to review what we’ve done.

    As Grandy mentioned Yesterday, I injured yesterday when I was playing basketball. I felt better now compare with Yesterday. I protected my leg very well because my leg cannot bear for any more impact. Thanks for all my classmates who gave help to me. The bad thing is that I cannot play for tomorrow’s inter-class basketball competition. It is a pity. However, I will still support my class inside my heart. I hope my fellow teammate can play well in the competition. Win the match. Win the honor (although it’s only the first match…XD).

    In the other hand, today’s English lesson, we had South Africa to do their News-sharing. I learnt a lot about variety of the look of taxi of different places. It’s excited that the group asked some question about the brands of cars. Although my knowledge of cars is not good as Toby Austin Stig or Mafia Matthew…xd, I still know more about cars compare with other classmates. Therefore, I answered a lot of question in that section. I think it was the only time that I scored so many for my group.

    After school, we had the Science Uniform test. We were worried about it for the whole day. Although it had only 5 pages, every question were not very easy to answer. It showed the difficulties of Physics. We had to face the fact that we had to work hard on studying. Otherwise, we will kick ourselves in future…so sad.

In this morning when it's nearly the class affair, Jason hurts his leg. James said that when he was revising the science ut, He was playing basketball. Next time, Kindly reminder don't do to two things at the same time unless you will get into trouble.

During the English lesson, we had the news sharing and the first photo story. Having a fair claculation marks for each group decided by MAN CHUN!!(Ranking/Group Names=The score)!! the first piece of the photo story was recorded by our sister group-ENGLAND. The first try to listen to their vioce and understand spiders web. we trooped down notice during the lesson, VERY HARD WORKING.

Also we had gone to the libary and borrow some books for the English on;y week and todays reading peiod. It's good to read more English books.

Test Day=] By India-Kelly

  Today we have 2 tests, Chinese and Maths. When we went back to school, everyone is very anxious about the Maths revision. In Chinese lesson, we used one lesson to do the Listening and reading test. Then the second lesson, we have to do WRITING!!@@ Everyone is doing it at that time. We have to hand in it on Thursday.

                          

  I think today’s English lesson is very meaningful to me, because it have solved a lot of problems that I don’t understand and the way how to write the argumentative essay. I know how to write better. Not to write like an ‘Primary Chicken’=3=’ Now I feel more confident how to write an 2 sided argumentative essay. Thank you DADDY!!!xD

   Well..After lunch.. BAD NEWS!! IT”S LOF!! Everyone is saying ‘Oh NO!! I’m sacred I will crash in this LOF’ Blah blah blah..something like that. And unfortunately, I swapped a few formulas..OMG!! After this LOF, Michelle said, LC,Rachel and Michelle have saw wrong the decimal point!

But they all wrote $ 7418!!-3-..Three people gets the wrong answers together. Not good..

Today was a super normal day that I did not take any photos. So this article must be very boring and not worth reading. By the way, this normal day was started with the normal Class Affair. Because we would have the dictation in the Chinese lesson and it would be the second lesson, so most of us tried our best to study the Chinese in the Class Affair.

After the 15 minutes of ‘hard work’, we would have the LS lesson. Today we did not get the chance to do our project in the computer room because Miss Hui needed to teach us the ‘Second World War’. Yes, long time ago. But because of the movie that we watched before, so we still remembered most of the things very clearly. So we finished the ‘Second World War’ very quickly that we had a few minutes left. Of course, we studied the Chinese again.

In the first 10 minutes of the Chinese lesson, Miss Chiu let us to prepare for the dictation. But this dictation is more difficult than the one that we had before. Also this dictation used a long time that some of us would feel very tried. I heard that one of the classmate said, ‘I don’t do the extracurricular article. I give all the marks to you!’ But that article is not that difficult and not so long.

We only had one more lesson to make our lamp after this Friday. Also, there were very few materials left in the VA room, so it makes our work become harder. May be we needed to buy something by ourselves and make some parts at home.

Today we did not have the reading period because Mr. Cheng said that there were many things of English to do that English lesson is not long enough to us.(?) We had a project to do about the Spider’s Web. One of the small part in the project is to make a ‘Movie Trailer’. Of course, Canada is very interested in doing this part. But I was very sick in this lesson, so I only knew that we needed to finish doing the ‘Photos Story’ within these few days.

Thursday ---- Canada (Kenneth Yip)

Hi everyone, is me Kenneth writing the blog again. I am late to school today because of getting traffic jam in Mong Kok, therefore I don't know what happened in the Class Affair.(Sorry).

Today, there are lots of things handed out.(I mean acadamic results).

First, we had an Intergrated Science lesson. We were talking about Law of refliction about how will the speed of light infect the angle and also we learn about snell's law which was about to caculate changes angle. Except talking about Law of refliction, Mr. Dik our sciece teacher said that there will be having a Uniform Test soon so Add-Oil.

Second, we were having China Study lesson. She had handed back homework and the last UT paper(finally). Everybody was cheering as we all got a very good marks in all of them and we really enjoyed the lesson.

Third, we had P.E lesson that the boys were kicking sococer and playing basketball while the girls were making a "creative dance" for themselves.

Finally, we had English lesson with our daddy, Mr.Cheng. We were doing new sharing today by india and it was about exchange rate from Hong Kong Dollar to other country like US, Britain, Euro, RMB. 

Normal Wednesday~ by Canada (Jessie Hui)

  A bit rainy in the morning but it stopped when we started the lessons.
  In the English lesson, we had a news-sharing from Scotland. Before that we read that booklet of British. Actually, no one laughed about that joke in the booklet...
   First, they asked the classmates some questions about the passage. Then, we played a game which the last person needed to passed the whole passage the front without looking back. After that, we had the questioning section that about the Spider's Web (Ch.13-18). This spent almost the time in second lesson! The last part of this part, the family groups needed to ask questions to the whole class. I remembered that Ireland asked a question about what is name of chapter something...
   In the lunch time, classmates were just playing deal cards...etc. And some classmates wrote words on the water bottle. (XD) 
  Lastly in the Putonghua lesson, we had to try to play the drama script that Miss Chiu gave us before the Easter holiday. Then, some of the classmates acted very well. Because of the boys at the back was a bit noisy. So, Miss Chiu picked them out to play the drama script. That was really funny! (However, it was in Putonghua.)

The school with visitors by Kung Man Chun (Canada~)

Hi~ hi~ Me again~ If you see these pink words, you must know that the writer is Man Chun!! Although I hate blog and blogger, I also need to do the blog. Sigh… Blog AGAIN!

Today, our school had some visitors. They were the students, teachers and principle from Shunde. Therefore we saw they anywhere in the school.

First, we had the flag raising ceremony in the morning. They also came and saw the flag raising ceremony. At the same time, the trouble was coming. The school flag, HKSAR flag is higher that the national flag. The mic was some error and we could not hear the speech. Because of the trouble, all the students were laugh. I know that the did wrong but they are human being, that is normal!

Second, some of our classmate needed to help to make some show for the visitors. However, the school did not give us enough time to prepare. Therefore we did not have well prepare for the show but the show was quite good.

Third, inside the show, the crew of the drama fest needed to perform again. We did not want to perform with short period of preparation. However, we needed to do this. So we just do this slovenly. The funniest thing is when I started to speak my line, the audience were laughing! But they are human being, that is normal! =3=
